CAULKING TYPES
Toronto Window Cleaners utilizes two distinct forms of caulking, each with their own unique set of benefits.
Polyurethane is best used when caulking to surfaces that will be painted over, but the drawback is a reduced lifespan and vulnerability to sunlight exposure, which means it must be replaced every 5 to 7 years on average. Silicone exterior window caulking, by contrast, lasts far longer, up to 20 years on average, but it cannot be painted over. Silicone caulking is advantageous for high-rise windows, due to its high strength and water resistance.
OUR CAULKING PROCESS

First, we remove any previous caulking that may have already been applied, especially if it is old and worn out.

We then fully clean and prep the surface that will be caulked, to guarantee proper application the first time. If necessary, we install backer rods for a smoother finish or greater control of joint depth.
03.
We then apply the new caulking as required for the job in question.
04.
Once finished, we smooth and clean the excess caulking for a polished, professional look, without any smears or inconsistencies.
